Described on the original house documents as a ‘Maison Individuelle’ …This old Manor house built between 1600 early 1700’s, certainly is a very intriguing property. From the moment you enter through the wrought iron gates on the entrance to the drive, you can’t help but be captivated by the view of the house over the lake which is situated to the front of the Manor house.
The driveway passes the lake side, which is stocked with Carp of 10lb or more as well as Roach, and is 00ha 32a60ac total in size. The drive is edged with shrubs, Iris and Daffodils on the left and hedging on the right.
As you approach the main house there is a huge barn and several garages and out buildings on the right. The main barn, should you wish, could be renovated into one large property or several small gite’s, stables etc.
There is a circular drive in front of the house, in the centre are some wonderful Magnolia tree’s which are in full of blossom in the spring time.
Also situated to the front of the property is an original ‘well’.
Enter through the front door into a very large hallway, the floor of which has original terracotta French Tomette tiles.
First door on the right, takes you into what is presently being used as a everyday living room, with large fireplace, and window to the front overlooking the circular drive.
Right again leads you into the kitchen/dining room. There are a selection of fitted base units, sink, and a beautiful cream enamel and brass range (which may be purchased seperately). Window to the front looking overlooking the drive, plus French doors at the side of the kitchen leading out into the garden.
From the rear of the kitchen there is another door which takes you through a smaller hallway (with 2nd ‘servants’ staircase) into another room currently being used as an office. With window to the right hand side of the house.
A door to the rear of the office leads you into the laundry room at the rear right of the house.
Both the office and the laundry room, also have a 2nd doorway on the left of these rooms, that takes you into another very large room, with open fireplace, window to the rear, which is not in use at the moment. From this room you can gain access back into the main hallway.
To the left of the hall…at the front of the house there is another large Living room with huge open fireplace. 2 Windows to the front, wooden floor, single part glazed door to the side of this room, which takes you out into the garden.
Further down the hall on the left are a further two rooms, the first being used as a small living room with open fireplace, French windows leading out onto left hand side of the house, at the rear is a ground floor bedroom and shower room/ wc and sink.
First floor:- there are currently 5 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms.
However there is potential to transform this floor into:-
2 Deluxe Suites (consisting of a lounge, bedroom and bathroom),
1 Double bedroom with En- suites
1 Kingsize bedroom with lounge area and En-suite.
Outside is an inground swimming pool, and wooden chalet which houses the pool pump.
There are a number of plots of land, including a piece of woodland on the opposite side of the lane, the total amount of land (inc of house) with the property is 02 ha 45a 96ca, the house is 398 sq mtrs, and all out buildings total 548 sq mtrs.
The Manor is set in beautiful quiet countryside, and would make a wonderful Retreat, Boutique Hotel, Chambre d’Hote or just a splendid family home.
