Aignan is situated in the South West of France, surrounded by rolling hills and vineyards. It is an historic town dating back to the Middle Ages. It has an abundance of facilities bars, restaurants, hotel, boulangerie, supermarket, chemist, doctor, dentist, tourist board, weekly market. Also there is a fresh water lake with a beach, water slides, restaurant and bar, fishing, high ropes course, an outdoor swimming pool and tennis courts.

Within the area there are many interesting towns and villages to visit. Lupiac, the birthplace of D’Artagnan, has a yearly calendar of events, and a fresh water lake with a beach and lively bar. Condom and Lectoure are both full of history and beautiful buildings. They are thriving communities and it’s always interesting to visit these towns on a market day. Larrensingle is a beautifully preserved small fortified medieval town and Lavardans has a large chateau that holds various exhibitions throughout the year. Auch, with it’s interesting cathedral, is the capital of the Gers and holds a weekly market and monthly flea market.

Marciac is host to an international jazz festival for two weeks starting the end of July. This festival attracts big names and tens of thousands of people. There are free concerts in the main square every day as well as concerts at night.
Mirande is host to the biggest Country and Western festival in Europe in July there are markets stalls, street restaurants and concerts. Vic Fezensac has a lively Tempo Latino festival towards the end of July. There are normally over 30 concerts, street markets and restaurants this festival has a truly welcoming atmosphere. Besides these large festivals there are numerous smaller festivals in the area for example; Nogaro – motor racing circuit and light airfield, St Clar – Garlic festival Madiran – wine tasting around the Madiran and St Mont vineyards – Vic Fezensac – horse racing/trotting and the Tour de France passes through the region most years. Skiing and the atlantic coast are a 2 hour drive, as is the Spanish boarder. Well serviced by airports including Pau, Lourdes, Toulouse, Bordeaux, Carcassonne.
