Colonzelle, is a small village, of approximately 500 inhabitants just north of the Enclave des Papes and the Vaucluse.   There are tennis courts and many pretty walks in and around the village. It is 5kms south-east of Grignan, a beautiful walled village which is a hub of activity, particularly during the summer:  It is renowned for its Château, Mme Sevigné’s letters (festival of correspondence), its roses, and its many festivals. It is very pleasant to live in the tranquillity of Colonzelle whilst having all the benefits of Grignan just a few minutes away.  

The village is less than fifteen minutes from the A7 motorway which goes north to Lyon and south to Marseilles, linking up with the A9 to Arles, Nimes and Montpellier.  The wild natural beauty of the Ardèche is less than thirty minutes drive, with its grottos and canoeing activities. The area is also renowned for its hill top villages.
