Within easy reach are the mountains of the Pyrenees, with walking, climbing and skiing.  The resorts of Ax les Thermes, Mont d’Olmes and les Angles are all nearby.  Ax les Thermes is 1h30 drive. If you want a day on the coast, the Mediterranean is also just 1h30 away.
